We believe artistic swimming has the power to develop much more than athletic ability. Through the sport, athletes build discipline, confidence, teamwork, coordination, creativity, and a sense of belonging — skills that can stay with them both in and out of the pool.

Sunshine Dolphins has helped open new pathways in artistic swimming for athletes with intellectual disabilities, growing from a community initiative into a high-performance program competing at national and international levels.

With a background in elite artistic swimming and extensive experience in adaptive and inclusive programs, Coach Isis Sánchez brings a passion for creating opportunities through sport.
A former Venezuelan National Team artistic swimmer, certified artistic swimming coach, and twice selected as a USA National Artistic Swimming Coach, Isis has led programs that produced national and world champions.
Her focus goes beyond technical development — creating opportunities for athletes to build confidence, discover their abilities, and transform their lives through sport.

An introductory program focused on aquatic skills, artistic swimming fundamentals, coordination, flexibility, musicality, physical conditioning, and choreography.
A developmental program for athletes preparing for competitive artistic swimming, with a focus on progressive technical development, skills, conditioning, flexibility, musicality, and routine preparation.
A program for athletes prepared for regular competitive participation. Training and competition expectations are based on the athlete’s assigned category, level, eligibility, and season plan.
An introductory and developmental program focused on water safety, artistic swimming fundamentals, coordination, musicality, physical conditioning, confidence, independence, and progressive skill development.
A competitive adaptive program for athletes who have developed the skills and preparation necessary for competition. Athletes may participate in local, national, and/or international competitions according to their level, preparation, eligibility, and individual season plan.

unshine Dolphins began in Doral as a community initiative within the Down Syndrome Association of Miami, created to give athletes with intellectual disabilities a place to learn, grow, and belong.
What began as a small inclusive program evolved into a high-performance team, with athletes representing their country at international championships and bringing home medals and recognition.
Today, our athletes are World Champions.
But our journey has always been about more than results. It is about building confidence, independence, identity, and opportunity in every athlete.
